Do you suffer from occasional or frequent insomnia? Do you have any special tricks or remedies? How does it impact your life?
That's so weird. I'm normally a really good sleeper, on a normal day I'm in bed by about 10.30 and asleep a couple of mins later. My hubby thinks how quickly I can fall asleep is the funniest thing ever. But strangely for the last couple of weeks, I've really not been sleeping, certainly not more than 3-4 hours a night/day. When it started I was at my parent's house in my little brother's old room (which is not actually designed for sleep) and I just put it down to that. But then it continued when I got home. Last week I did nights and I never sleep well during the day anyway so that didn't help and now it seems to have become a pattern. One I'd like to get out of please.
I was thinking about this about 2am yesterday whilst turning and tossing in bed and trying to go through all the sleep hygiene tricks we learnt in med school. I don't have a TV in my bedroom and I don't use my laptop in there. It has thick curtains so is resonably dark. I have the oligatory scented candles. My pillows are comfortable. And there's nothing I'm particularly stressed about right now.
I do tend to snack after dinner and I normally have one/two coke cans in the evening. That's not something that's changed recently so I don't see why it should be causing it. But I'll test it out, I had coke with lunch and none since (i'm going to try to stick to that) and we'll see what happens.
